Consider the many new generic options ("Any Brand") we have added to the site as name brand items are still hit or miss as the supply chains continue to be erratic and inconsistent with regards to stock. Also please give the "allow substitutions" option some consideration. The goal is to provide you with groceries, so perhaps for now brands may not be as important to you and that's why we added these generic essentials to further help you fill your pantry.

2. If you order in bulk quantities for specific items just know that there may be some delays moreso now than in the past. There remains disruptions in the supply chain so expect delays and know that we appreciate your patience.

3. Due to an increased demand with our service you may experience some shipping delays. We are a small business and wish to remain as so. It is "simply where we are and who we are". You patience is again very much appreciated.

4. There are no delivery guarantees regarding transit times at this time. This is due to several issues including a shortage of employees due to COVID and a system overload at all carriers (too much work).

We are proud to ship groceries to all APO and FPO addresses. We ship via the USPS Priority Mail and shipping includes full insurance at no extra cost.

Diplomatic Pouch Grocery Delivery

There are strict regulations in place for groceries being shipped via the pouch service (DPO) so please make yourself aware of these before ordering. DPO orders are shipped via UPS Ground.

Buying groceries online at ShopFoodEx is easy with our search function!

You can find a grocery item by either browsing the Grocery Aisles like in a regular grocery store or you can use our search function located above the Aisles.

When using the Search, you'll notice that as soon as it starts to find matches it will suggest terms to you.

It is a good idea to be as specific as possible. For example, when searching for candy, instead of just entering "candy", you would start typing the name of the actual candy you want to buy.

If you see what you want in our suggestion list, just click on it. If not then just press the enter key on your keyboard or click the search icon to get the full search results.

Once you get the search results, you can search within the search results to narrow down the selection or start a new search.

If you want to make a grocery list when you buy online at ShopFoodEx then all you need to do is locate each grocery item and then click the Add to Shopping List link.

Any time you want to see whats on your list just click on the Shopping List in the top navigation bar.

When viewing your Shopping List, you can choose which items to add or remove from your cart by simply checking the box.

Just remember, if you want to save your Shopping List from visit to visit then you need to be logged in to your account so we know whose it is!

And if that was not easy enough, you can also add all the items in your grocery order to your Shopping List at the end of checkout.

If only shopping for groceries was that easy all the time!

Managing Your Online Grocery Cart

Found the grocery item you want to buy? Then it is as easy as a click of the Buy Now button to toss it in your shopping cart. Another click and you've added another one. Want even more? Then just click on the + icon until you reach your desired quantity and then toss them all in with one click of the Buy Now button.

Not sure what's in the cart? Just mouse over it and you can see.

Want to pull over to the side of the aisle to make some adjustments? Then click the Your Cart link (top right of the website) and you will see the full contents of your cart displayed. Here you can adjust quantities or remove items. When you are done you can keep shopping online for your groceries or proceed to checkout.

Where else can you drive a shopping cart with one hand?

Same again? Then just order The Usual ...

Buying groceries online at ShopFoodEx is easy with re-ordering!

When you complete your order and checkout you can tag your grocery order as the "Usual".

The "Set as Usual" option is particularly useful if you always buy the same thing over and over again.

Once you have a "Usual", you can simply click the Re-Order link on your next visit, log in and find your groceries already in your cart. You can then checkout or adjust quantities or continue to shop and add other grocery items to your cart.

And once you checkout, you can make this new order your new "Usual"!

There is no limit to how usual you want to be!

Checking out ... the importance of correct addresses

Buying groceries online at ShopFoodEx is flexible!

You can order your groceries online from your computer and have it shipped anywhere! You can have one address for billing and another for delivery. You can even change where you ship to from order to order...to the office, to your home, to any place in the country!

To get the cart rolling and to begin checking out, click on the Review Order and Checkout button. There you get to see all the items in your cart and make any changes to your order.

If you are shipping your order within the United States or to an APO/FPO/DPO address then click the standard Checkout button.

If you are shipping an order overseas then you will need to click the International Checkout option. We strongly encourage customers shipping Internationally to read our shipping information page to avoid almost certain confusion before attempting to place an order with us. Information on International Shipping is at the bottom of the shipping page. Click here to go to the shipping page.

First, make sure that you have your shipping details right. An incorrect shipping address can delay your order.

Second, choose your Payment Method and make sure that you have entered your billing information correctly. An incorrect billing address will result in your credit card being declined before final processing.

Third, review the entire order before you place it. If you are satisified with the details of your order then click the Confirm Order button to complete your purchase.

If you are paying by PayPal don't forget to return to the site to set up your Usual order or add the items to your Quick List!

Grocery Item Substitutions ... You say tom-ate-o and I say tom-ah-toe

When you buy groceries online at ShopFoodEx, we do not substitute items unless you say we can.

Substituting a grocery item means replacing it with a similiar item that we choose for you.

We give you the option of allowing for substitutions for individual grocery items:

If you WANT us to substitute a grocery item that might be out of stock then simply check the substitution box for that specific item.
If you DO NOT WANT us to substitute a grocery item then simply leave it unchecked and if it is out of stock we'll remove it from your online grocery order.

Logical substitutions is the rule here. A can of diced tomatoes for a can of diced tomatoes ...

Bottom line? Just leave that substitution box unchecked if you don't want a substitution and check it if you do!

You ordered your groceries online so where are they?

You can buy groceries online from ShopFoodEx and have them shipped to pretty much anywhere!

Orders are shipped from our warehouse in Roanoke, Virginia and are typically shipped within 1-2 business days. Once an order leaves our warehouse, it takes about 2-8 business days for your order to arrive. You will get an automated email with your tracking information once your order has been shipped. We do not require a signature in order for your delivery to be made. The carrier will leave your package at their discretion, if they feel it is safe to do so.

How is my order being shipped?

USPS Delivery

Orders weighing less than 10 pounds are shipped via USPS Priority Mail or by UPS SurePost^(*) at our discretion. Please allow 2-8 business days for delivery.

^(*) SurePost p ackages are picked up and routed via UPS with the final delivery being made by the USPS (your mail carrier).

UPS Delivery

Orders weighing over 10 pounds are typically shipped via UPS Ground Service and can take from 1-5 business days to arrive.

Military Delivery

The USPS states it can take up to 45 days for an order to arrive to an APO/FPO address. However, based on customer feedback, APO AE and APO AA orders typically arrive within 7-14 days. However orders shipped to APO AP (Pacific) addresses have been known to take quite a bit longer to arrive.

We will make it right by either shipping the right grocery item or issuing a refund if it is not available.

We cannot issue refunds on opened grocery items. So don't open it!
